Gujarat Postal Circle Instructions for Candidate

- : Instructions for Candidate :- 
(Candidates should read below instructions and follow strictly):- 


  1. Please check the Admit Card carefully for your Name, Roll/Seat No, Exam Place, Exam Center, Block No. etc. In case of any discrepancy, communicate to Asstt. Director (Recruitment), O/o. Chief Postmaster General, Gujarat Circle, Khanpur, Ahmedabad-380001 immediately for n/a.
  2. The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility criteria. The Admit Card does not guarantee employment in any way. It is only an invitation for examination. This examination is qualifying in nature
  3. In case the photograph is not printed or is not visible/clear, the candidate should affix his/her recent passport size photograph in the space provided above along with candidate’s signature and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer otherwise he/she will not be allowed in examination.
  4. The candidate must bring Admit Card. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card issued by the DOP shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the Exam Center Supervisor.
  5. Candidates shall bring an original Photo-ID proof i.e. Voter-ID, PAN, Aadhar, Driving License etc.
  6. Candidates are advised to make sure of the location of their Examination Center in advance. Candidates are also advised to reach the center at least 2 (Two) hours before the examination so as to complete the frisking and other formalities well before the time.
  7. No candidate, under any circumstances, will be allowed to enter the Examination Center after the commencement of the examination
  8. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidate should find out and occupy their allotted seat only. Any candidate found to have changed room/block or the seat on his/her own other than allotted, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted for it.
  9. Candidates shall bring Blue/Black Ball Pen to mark their answers.
  10. Prohibited items, such as watches, books, paper chits, magazines, slide rule, logarithm tables and steam table and electronic gadgets (mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, head phones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices etc.), and shoes, socks, hair pin, buttons are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED in the examination center. If any such item is found in the possession of the candidate his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled and legal/criminal proceedings could be initiated against him/her. He/she would also be liable to be debarred from appearing in future examination. CANDIDATES ARE STRICTLY ADVISED TO DESIST FROM BRINGIN BAGS AND PROHIBITED ITEMS INTO THE EXAMINATION CENTER.
  11. It is reiterated that Candidates should not bring bags and prohibited items as mentioned above to the Examination center. In case they bring any such items they would have to make their own arrangement for safe custody of such items. The Department shall not make any arrangement nor be responsible for the safe custody of such items.
  12. Candidates must read the instructions carefully before encoding the answers. Roll No and other details should be filled in carefully. No representation seeking any change in the data in answer sheet would be entertained at a later date or at any stage.
  13. All candidates must write the papers in their own hand writing. In no circumstances, will they be allowed the help of a scribe to write the answers for them. However, blind candidates and candidates with Locomotors Disability and cerebral Palsy where dominant (writing) extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the performance of function (minimum of 40% impairment) will be allowed to write the examination with the help of a scribe. Such of the candidate wanting to use services of scribe will have to apply in proper form. The scribe must be a student from lower class than the prescribed educational qualification for the post. PH Candidates seeking help of scribe must apply in prescribe format before the examination. They will have to seek written permission from Asstt. Director Postal Services (Recruitment) O/o. Chief Postmaster General, Gujarat Circle, Khanpur, Ahmedabad-380001 otherwise they will not be allowed.
  14. No candidate without the special permission of the Exam Center Supervisor or the Invigilator concerned will leave his/her seat or examination room until the full duration of the paper. No candidate shall also be permitted to leave the examination venue/block before 13:00 hours. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as instructed by the Center Supervisor.
  15. While signing the Attendance Sheet during the exam, the candidate must ensure that he/she signs against his/her name only. If there is any spelling mistake or whatsoever, the same should be brought to the notice of Invigilator in writing. But the candidate must not alter/change his/her name either in Admit Card or in Attendance Sheet.
  16. Before, leaving the examination hall/block, the candidates must deposit portion of Admit Card for DOP and OMR to the Invigilator concerned. Failure to do so would result in cancellation of candidature.
  17. Candidate found using unfair means or violating any instruction or doing any undesirable activity would be debarred from the examination.
